Is it possible for students to submit 1 file each day within 7 days, as text file. Example: Observation diary. And all reports in one Assignment with ability to grade each?

I would like to edit the Language file to adjust the email that is sent out to the teacher notifying them that an assignment has been lodged to have the student ID in the subject AND student ID in the message section of the email.
This is possible for Quiz and works as is correctly. But Assignment email notification does not. I have tried a few variations of the string (but nothing works.
My question is it possible and if so could someone let me know how to get it to work.

I can't seem to delete assignments, have tested using user roles for system admin, teacher and student. After clicking the "Remove Submission" button and a pop up box that says to confirm the removal, the page refreshes but the 'deleted' assignment still appears there. mod/assign:editothersubmission has been set to "Allow". Is this a bug? How can I fix this?

I am an administrator on my company's MoodleCloudsite and we are running this version: Moodle 3.8.2 (Build: 20200309).
Some of our non-editing teachers are not receiving notifications when a student submits an assignment.
Am I correct in thinking that it is just the setting below (on the assignment itself) that needs to be set to yes? Non-editing teachers can grade submissions so I assume that they fall into the "graders" group.
I would appreciate any help with this issue!

@IT Support ... screen shot shows nothing. Turn on debugging in Moodle all the way to highest? See anything then? Check web server logs for errors related. Without some technical info ... no one can give recommenations without 100% guessing. None here in these forums can perform a 'Vulcan Mind Meld' ( Ref: StarTrek).
Sorry but that leads to very long threads in forum, waisted time, etc., etc.
Also, we know moodle version but other details might also be important ... PHP version, DB server and version of DB. Where and how hosted? DIY or Shared or VPS ... with support without support, ... etc.

If some of your non--editing teachers are receiving notifications, and some aren't, then it may be because the latter have turned off assignment notifications in their notification preferences (via the User menu > Preferences).
Thanks for your reply, Helen! I have double-checked and all the non-editing teachers have "On" for their email preferences.
We had an issue in early May in which the non-editing teachers weren't receiving forum notifications and I think it may have had to do with a Moodle upgrade that was interfering with the notifications. Eventually, it started working. I wonder if it's the same problem this time around.

My assignment is due and cut-off date is passed. Student has sent assignment on time. I go to "View all assignments" because as an Administrator I want to edit this student's submission. I scroll down and find the student, then I click Edit > Allow another attempt. I realised that this another attempt still doesn't let me edit his submission because assignment cut-off date is passed. Well anyway, before I Grant extension to student so that I can edit his submission, I choose to remove his current submission Edit > Remove submission. But for some reason I cannot remove it but got error message
Coding error detected, it must be fixed by a programmer: moodle_database::update_record_raw() id field must be specified.
Can someone replicate this error and find out why it occurs?

I've done some experiments. The Reset button clears unsaved grading feedback (comments, rubric selections, etc.). It does not clear previously saved feedback.
The weird thing is that there is no information on this in the Assignment Settings page in the Moodle documentation:

When a teacher gets a notification that a student has submitted an assignment. They click on the link "It is available on the web site."
But when clicked it takes them to the start of the student list. Then the teacher needs to scroll through the list of users until they find the right submission.
Can the link on the notification email link directly to the assignment which needs grading?
Can it link directly to his/her submission?
I would appreciate any input to find a workaround.

Hi Asko Pesola, Were you able to resolve this issue on removing the submission. I have been experiencing similar issue.
But if the cutoff date was the issue for you. You could use override and change that particular student's cutoff date which could resolve your issue. This is just my point of view.
