Assignment grading summary table shows as need grading in an assignment without grading

I'm having a problem since I upgraded from 2.7 to 2.9.

I'm getting complaints from the teachers of the platform about grading status in assignments without grading.

The asignments they create are always with grading disabled. In students' submissions they just write a comment and/or upload a file and that's the grading process and that used to mark the submission as graded in 2.7, but not in 2.9 anymore.
