Just a note, to say that the PoodLL Assignment Submission (for the new assignment 2.3+) is available for download from Moodle.org.

It allows audio and video recordings , drawing pictures and even taking webcam snapshots as assignment submissions. It has been out and in use for ages but a tracker issue(long component name) was preventing it getting on Moodle.org.
Thats all cleared up now. To use it you will need to also install the PoodLL filter. You don't need Red5 or any of that stuff these days.
