Moodle 2.4 Assignment not showing final mark after closing date

Hello

I'm tearing my hair out here.  I've got a build of 2.4.3 (Build: 20130318) on a commercial host, just to check a few things.

I created two assignments one anon one normal, file upload.

I marked the assignments and added feedback.

The feedback was visible but not the final mark for the assignment.  Not unless I set that in the grades and categories section.

This isn't clear in the assignment.  I cannot find any documentation about this.

I think this is a bug.

grade.png shows the gradebook view, it's clear a grade has been given, but it does not appear in the final grade.

summary.png shows the assignment has been submitted by the due date.

Please help, I'm tearing my hair out over this...
