We too, are open entry, so students are starting at any time. I have seen this discussed in a number of threads without any resolution.
Moodle needs to be enhanced to do one or more of the following:
- Be able to use relative dates based on student enrollment date
- Set time limits on all activities (once the student has entered an activite there would be a maximum time for it to be complete. (accepting late submissions would still be possible)
- Enhance the activity tracking module to use time instead of dates.
