Al, That's a great story! And I can see it happening.

I rebuilt a PC for a kid some years ago only to have him bring in back in the next day. (I owned a PC services and sales shop for awhile.) He said it stopped working. I asked, do you remember what you were doing just before? He said, well I cleaned out a bunch of files that I didn't think the computer needed. He had emptied the system folder!

Do you remember the program Super Copy? It would read around the laser security hole...

Ok, back to the problem at hand. I will go and look for some scampy char that is messing up the grade import file. It's a text file - tab delimited - that has student grades/scores plus a long string that goes into the comment field. The string is score feedback details that I wrap with html. 

I'm wondering if the import parser hits a roadblock after a certain length. I've discovered some similar problems over the last couple months, such as the parser has a problem if it encounters an ellipsis or the double-quote character. Perhaps something else is bothering it.
