Re: Using PDF form for assignment

While I appreciate the thought behind using HTML forms, PDF cannot be beat for creating What You See Is What You Get (WYSIWYG) printable forms. The beauty of PDF is that the look doesn't change across platforms.

It is especially important if a teacher wants a piece of paper printed for a classroom that is an artifact of learning. For example, a lab contract, or a signed syllabus, or maybe some physicla proof that the person who signed on actually saw a screen (prints it out and hands it in themselves)

I am a huge proponent of paperless classrooms, but there are times when paper must be turned in. That is the attractiveness of PDF, versus HTML, because HTML cannot create a print format consistently.
