Looking forward to seeing this new functionality. Sitting alongside blind marking now available in 2.4 being able to have multiple markers / verifier is a key feature my institution wants for online assessment.
I have a couple of small comments.
If there is more than one marker providing a grade, and they award a different mark - how is it calculated. Will it take an average, or does the second marker / verifier grade override the first, etc, or should there be an option to set a final approved grade separately?
Our registry department and some academics also wondered about what happens if a second marker edits feedback and grade from a transparency point of view. Our institutional practice at the moment is that the marker enters the grade in the feedback textbox along with comments (not in the grade box). The verifier then reviews the marks and comments, and if everything is in order applies the grade in the grade box and releases the grades to students. If the second marker / verifier wants to apply a new grade or feedback they can simply edit the feedback - there would be no evidence that it has been changed.
Ideally registry (or site admin) should be able to view that a change has been made (and the original values), although the student should only be presented with a final grade score and feedback comments. How would the new functionality handle displaying or amalgamating the feedback from multiple markers - and who controls/selects what is displayed to the student?
