I'm also looking for this feature but I'm afraid the workshop or database module is too advanced for my beginning users.
What about changing permissions locally of the assignment activity where I want students to see each others work and eventually give each other feedbacks... ?
Maybe a forum is what I need because it's an assignment without marks or deadline....
