Mischief Managed: Maximum Grade?

by Steve Ambrosini (Using Moodle 2.2.4+).

You did spark an intgeresting "solution" though.  With your set up, when I went to grade, I would have to sift through the entire list consisting mostly of commas.

I discovered that the location, type or order of the entries is of no matter.  Therefore, I placed 165 commas then a stream of numbers and equivalent letter grades.

1,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,25,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,50,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,75,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,100,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,125,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

150,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,0,F,85,D-,87,D,91,D,96,C-,104,C,113,C+,115,B-,138,B,153,B+,170,A-,189,A

Bizarre as it may seem, it works.  I get the 189 "maximum grade" and the numeric grades at the top of the pull down menu.  Placing the leter grades help me evaluate the quality  of work (letter grade) to the number of points to select for the text box.

So far, it looks like the percentage, along with the course and category totals actually work. Yes, it is tedious to count commas and that is why I placed the 1, 25, 50, 75... indicators in the list.

Mr. Goldberg,  would have been proud of me but I still welcome discussion for a better way to do this.  Now, if I could only hide spent assignments without hiding grades and grade entries for them...
