I have a colleague using my Moodle installation to teach a writing course. I set up an Assignment activity for him so that his students could upload texts for him to grade and provide feedback on. He wanted this rather than having his students inputting text online. Everything worked out well and he was able to download his students Word docs, annotate them and then re-upload them. He then graded the work and also provided feedback in the platform itself. That was a week ago. However, all the submissions and grades have now disappeared - uploaded files and no more grades. And I can find no reason for this. Has anyone had a similar experience with the Assignment activity in Moodle? Did I perhaps set up the activity incorrectly do you think?
