One of the new features of the assign module for Moodle 2.4 that I am looking forward to is the Group Assignment feature (http://www.moodleblog.net/2012/10/27/group-assignments-in-moodle-2-4/).
My question is that is it possible to backport tha to Moodle 2.3? I don't expect Moodle.org to change the 2.3 stable branch, but if I were to copy the relavant code parts, is a backport possible? Or does it use some newer APIs that are only found in Moodle 2.4?
