Hi Louise... I'm with you and I really can't fathom why this hasn't been addressed more seriously. I should think that any teacher doing any sort of marking would want their class list alpha by surname. It seems you addressed this 1.5 years ago and a patch still hasn't made it into the main branch... Strange since it would affect nearly all those of us who mark assignments online!
