Why does the Gradebook Single View for a student not look like the Categories and Items view?
The Single view does a (IMHO) really poor presentation of the gradebook structure as there is no representation of the categories used, other than the trailing category total,
The fact that a grade item is in category is *only* shown by virtue of the Grade category column.
On the other hand you look at the categories and items view, and it has a *really* nice presentation showing the layout of the grade items.
I attach illustrations:
On the left, the Categories and items presentation. On the right the single view for the same gradebook.
Using the Categories and Items presentation, but
- removing the max grade and actions columns
- adding the columns for range, grade, feedback, override and exclude columns
would be a substantial improvement, no?
