Hi Stephen, the version in the plugin database will install and work with Moodle 2.8. By chance I installed it only last night on 2.8.2+ from the plugins database. I had to lie to Moodle.org temporarily that I was running an earlier version but apart from that it worked fine (I have just edited the plugin record so it says it is good for Moodle 2.8 now)
The reason I installed last night it was I went to visit a college that uses it back in September and I was looking at doing some of the things they asked for.
