Thanks for the quick response and advice! Unfortunately, I think we've got something a little more complex going on.
In regards to issue number 2, we have the "Require all group members submit" option set to No... so that shouldn't be affecting this.
In regards to issue Number 3, we are requiring students to click the submit button (as we want them to have the ability to work with drafts)... but, once they submit the file, they only have an "edit submission" option, and do not have a "submit assignment" button. Very similar situation to our issue #2... just as the result of different parameters.
We did think about separate threads for these issues... but with the similarities and the fact that they all have to do with file submissions in the assignment module... we were wondering if there might be some sort of common setting (maybe even something in our LAMP configuration) that might be affecting all these issues.
