Hi Doug,
If you only need to keep grades and not the files:
- in the course Administration block select Grades.
- Click the down arrow by Grader Report.
- From the list of options, select Export and then one of the available formats such as Excel spreadsheet.
- Complete the prompts and down load the spreadsheet.
- Based on your selection of prompts, the spreadsheet will contain all their grades in the course.
- Print or save the file as long as needed.
- Reset the course for the next grading period.
As for student enrollments, I do that by a CSV file. As I get new students, I add them to the current file, and run it again with it set to only add new students. If you have not been using CSV files for enrollment, you make one by going to bulk user actions, select everyone, then download.
