Ah right. I gave that a quick read and went to /admin/index.php and saved the settings (all default).
I can now create a new assignment.
Maybe this was part of the upgrade and I didn't save it initially?
Sorry about this. I'm glad it's working now anyway.
Note: making the 'Require students click submit button' yes will now enable the 'Require all group members submit' button.
