With regards to outcomes I have assigned all of the outcomes to one assignment, Ideally once all of the outcomes achieved the minimum pass (Secure) grade then the assignment would automatically award the overall grade.
It would be great if within the submissions pupils could tag submissions with specific outcomes and that the files/text for each submission was distinct so that you could more easily match work with outcomes and that the assignment could be built up in sections, but that would still allow some overlap no planned by the teacher through the use of different assignments.
Once I've cleared the backlog of marking I will have a look in to versioning. I still have a lot to learn about the changes between 1.9 and 2.4. It might be that by using a standard scoring scale 1 to 4 that I could then make use of the no grade option again and get back to our previous work flow (with extra tools to help track submission comments) Then I would just need to use different assignments for the Silver and Gold grades (one could even be an off-line assignment just to record the Silver grade when pupils have reached that standard (which we are only using as a fall back)
