Erasing the "Submitted" Number in Assignment

Forgive me please if this question has already been asked and answered, but I am truly stumped.

We are using Moodle 2.3, and in my course I have an Assignment activity (online text variety) that was used last year.  So in prepping my page for this new school year I un-enrolled the old students and enrolled the new students.

But in the online text Assignment, in the "submitted" box, it still says there are 5 assignments submitted, even after clearing everything up and having no students in the class.

So my question is....how do I delete that "submitted" number in an Assignment, so it will accurately reflect the number of submitted assignments this year....not last year?
