Default assignment settings for admins

Hi all,

I am looking into the default settings for administrators and the fact that the assignment activity in a new 2.5 site doesn't have any.

I have been looking into this and have found this has been implemented for 2.6 (nice job by the way). In the tracker it was mentioned about this being backported so my question is, are the default admin settings being added to previous versions, particularly 2.4 and 2.5 and if so, when?
